I guess you could say that Q.P. started out like most mid-west homegrown bands…in the beer stocked basement of some drummers house. As a cover band playing mostly old-school metal, rock and punk, house parties was the only exposure except for that “One Night“. With Q on vocals and guitar, Paul Evers on bass, Marcus Rambo on lead guitar and aka “the drummer”, were called up on stage to show what they had been doing for so long in the basement it was magic. It turns out that the place had to close a week earlier due to damages - oh yes, the potential for a great band was realized. With the taste of the stage and Q pushing for originals, differences caused the loss of “the drummer“.

86’ed seemed like the perfect name after the whole one-time gig and they destroy the whole bar show, but later found out it was taken. The name Quarter Pound or Q.P. for short appeared like the next best choice and was utterly hilarious (sure there‘s a lot more to it, but you wont forget the name). Anyway, Q, Paul and Marcus began practicing with Marcus’s brother who played drums (and had the beer + basement). Unfortunately everything folded due to marital problems and the military before ever playing a live gig which left Q and Paul playing unplugged originals on the coffee shops scene. Not a total loss, great songs came from it like; Resist, At Your Feet, Ass Clown Parade and Where’s Eden.
