![]() Fall of 2006 Q Stuart and Glenn Cooper began searching for something different. They came across an underage lead guitar prodigy Dave Tedrow and after many tryouts drummer Jay Lesser. The idea to rebuild Quarter Pound from the ground up was underway, even the traditional tuning and format was thrown out to make way for a completely new sound. The new Q.P. had attracted a new fan base, talent scouts, marketing firms and opportunities to again move to the next level. Having been approached by a label offering national exposure in addition to marketing opportunities that most upcoming bands would not see for years, Q.P. signed. Next up the studio, a place that separates the pups from the big dogs. and after many antics Jay was sent packing. There were many tryouts until making the call on drummer Michael Christen. It took two sessions, but it was clear what Q.P. needed - not to mention he had an electric set too. Pressured by the label for the CD, Q.P. laid all nine (9) tracks in two (2) days - and it was off to mastering the following week (summer of 07). To this date the CD has not been release. For all the upcoming bands - Lesson learned: DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITHOUT A LAWYER! Despite numerous setbacks, downfalls and hard lessons learned - Quarter Pound remains true to the music, fans and those we call unbreakable. Expect great things in the near future and your support is greatly appreciated. “LiVe iT fO LiFe - CuZ LiFe‘s fO LivE‘n”
