ILate 2002, Q Stuart and Paul Evers were introduced to lead guitarist Trevor Norman who then brought in drummer Jason Warrington (this time it was the lead guitarist house, but the drummer lived there and the basement still had beer) after hearing the potential of the song Resist. With the guidance and connections of Trevor, Quarter Pound produced its first CD “Rise of Locolized” in 2004. Playing only weekend show with some of Denver’s Most Wanted, Q.P. had quickly honed its signature sound establishing its self as heavyweight original act on the local Denver scene. “Denver's Always interested in new bands, fresh sounds and music that just straight up rocks! All or those elements can be found with the offerings of the city's newest rock/alternative act Q.P. If you're wondering what a Q.P. is, that's quite all right. I did too until I asked..." ~ Review from © Riff Music Magazine Aug.2003 "Q.P. had me up on the dance floor at 2:30am in the morning. This is a sensational dance band. They do music like music ought to be done. Incredible licks, best vocal chops and vocals to die for. Get into the best rock band for dancing in Colorado ‑ get in the music of Q.P." ~ Review from May 15, 2004 @ The Avalone © Legends Hall of Fame ‑ Robert Metzgar 1 - NEEDS WORK. ARTIST IMAGE ON STAGE 9.0 Like many young bands, Q.P. too began to get sloppy with all the notoriety of a band getting offered the next level. With outside negative influences, personal issues and “Rock Star Egos” it was a matter of time before Q.P. lost sight of the real reason most of us do it - the music. Trevor had all he could stand, Jason was sent packing, Q and Paul took time to reflect and Q.P. once again was on ice. |
